Artur Beterbiev Destroys Callum Smith, Unifies Light Heavyweight Titles

In a dominant performance, Artur Beterbiev defended his IBF and WBC light heavyweight titles and captured the WBO belt by stopping Callum Smith in the second round on Saturday night. Beterbiev scored three knockdowns before the fight was waved off.

Beterbiev became the first fighter to knock down Smith, who was making his light heavyweight debut. The Russian power puncher connected with a left hook that sent Smith to the canvas in the opening round. Smith beat the count but was dropped again by a right hand later in the round.

In the second round, Beterbiev landed a devastating left hook that floored Smith for the third time. Smith was unable to continue, and the fight was stopped at 2:19 of the round. The victory improved Beterbiev's record to 18-0 (18 KOs), while Smith dropped to 28-1 (19 KOs).
